Photography Intern Needed:Serious inquiries only:

This is a non-paying internship. This position is a secretary/receptionist-like position in Carson City, Nevada. Someone will be needed 3-4 days a week. I am looking for someone who is serious about a future in photography and wants to earn intern credits toward photography. You do not need lighting equipment or an expensive camera or software. It is better to get a taste of what photography is like before you go and invest all of your money into it. You will learn a lot of aspects about photography on a technical, business and creative scale.

You will be here learning the business of portraiture as I am finishing up my last few semesters of school and run my business all at once. I have a million things to do and sometimes I get side-tracked so, I need someone who has a little patience.
You need, must be able to, must be, must have, need to have and must want to:
help with pre-shoot preperations
help prepare, pack and plan for sessions
help clean up after sessions
a great attitude
hard working
a knowledge of technical/equipment
interest in photography
willing to learn
a great personality
clean, neat & tidy
orderly & consistent
motivation to complete tasks and start new tasks
laptop computer (don’t worry if you don’t have one, I have an extra office laptop you may use while you are here)
a blank notebook and pen to take notes as we go. I love to make lists so you must be an avid list maker/note taker or be willing to want to be one.
willing to help build props
the determination to build your own photographic portfolio

willing to learn and ask lots of questions
responsible
honest and dependable
willing and able to travel and/or tag along with me to a few different cities, such as Reno, Gardnerville & Sacramento.

Sneak Peek From Today’s Session!

Here is a sneak peek from today’s session!  These turned out so great!  It helps when the subjects make it easy 🙂  These girls were a lot of fun and I cannot wait to show them the rest of their images!

This photo was right after we had a major bee scare.  Luckily Mom kept everyone calm and the bee left without harming himself or anyone else.

 

Tomorrow’s Session with New Headpieces

So excited for tomorrow! I have a creative session in Genoa with Enid Webb and her girls! Lots of cool stuff coming and I made them headpieces! They can’t wear pretty dresses without headpieces! Sneak Peek from Yesterdays Session

Here is a sneak peek of one of the cute little guys I photographed on location yesterday evening in Genoa, Nevada. This one was such a happy little baby! There are 2 more little boys, mom, grandma, aunt and uncle.  I think that I have found a new love…photographing babies.  There is a luminous glow that surrounds babies, for some mysterious reason, that does not surround anyone else.  I absolutely love the results of these images!  This session was so much fun and it’s awesome to have new images to play with.  More images coming in 2 weeks!

Today’s Session

Sessions are over, sunflower seeds planted for fall, flowers & container gardens planted, presets created, more sessions booked…and this cute little miniature sized person came in my studio today 🙂
